Treasure Hunt!

ScrapFrames is participating in a great competition being run by Scrapbooking Top 50 Directory Site - go here for details: TREASURE HUNT

There are some amazing prizes to win, inlcuding goodie packs and vouchers to several stores. First prize is valued at $210, and even Fourth prize is a pretty nice $50!

It kicks of April 27th, and is open until MIDNIGHT MAY 31st, to give you plenty of time to find all the little treasure hunt baggie icons around the Top 50 site, and answer the questions you will find when you click on them - my questions are a little tricky, but I'm sure you will enjoy browsing the ScrapFrames site to find the answers!! You never know what you'll find!
What's new?? I'm waiting to pounce on a pending order with my US supplier, so everyone send STRONG AUSSIE dollar vibes - it's trending upwards again at last. It's been very disapointing to find that wholesale costs have increased so sharply, but we have tried to absorb increases for as long as possible. I have been pretty flat out with school matters and my 'proper' job the last few months, but I'm slowly getting through the box of stock to be loaded - check back at the shop from time to time, you'll find the latest additions on either the main page of the estore or the New March April 2009 categories
Enjoy your Sunday, and have a Happy Hoppy Easter!

Site issues again, now fixed

My apologies to everyone trying to place orders over the last week or so! I regularly check the customer side of the site, but this time the error page was in a different place than we've experienced before and I didn't pick it up.

Anyway, we're back up online properly and ready to process your orders :)

Heaps of stuff has been delivered over the past few days, just need to find the time to load it onto the site.

Arrivals include New Kaisercraft papers in Lovestruck, Argentella, Sugar Sugar, Spirograph and Airy Fairy with matching brads, Cupcake albums, Star designer albums, recipe stands etc.

Also a batch of EK Success gear including the fabulous Circle Scissor! This is the only system I have been able to successfully cut nice circles with, so it deserves a place in your toolbox! It does require the use of a glass cutting mat, but we have some of those in 2 sizes also. Note!! This is the new improved Circle Scissor Plus, which cuts in both directions, don't confuse it with the earlier version which was apparently a major PITA!! There are also more punches, and a few other bits and bobs have just arrived too, my floor looks like a warehouse there are so many boxes! Best get back to it...
Enjoy a safe and happy weekend everyone :)

OK, I'm back!!

Been flat out with school hols, stocktake, clearing out site clutter and boring stuff like that! I have some new things to add, hopefully over the next few days, including a limited number of the new Making Memories Paperie collections in 6x6 pads, direct from the US as they weren't listed by distributors here.

The other big news is the addition of a new section to the site, the "Recycling Station" It's sort of like an online garage sale, or our own ScrapFrames ebay! I will be listing things as I come across them, but check regularly to see what's new. It will include stuff like samples, part packs of new stock ex kits for example, used items I no longer need in my stash (far far too big for the amount of time I have to scrap!!!), opened but new items, etc etc. I also have things like a Making Memories Trimmer and will load some stamps I don't use anymore also. Everything will be at great prices, sold as-is, described as well as I can manage. All sales from this section will be final, with no exchanges or refunds, and there are no further discounts on items from this section. Enjoy browsing!

A few changes and new arrivals AT LAST!

HI everyone,
It seems like ages since I posted last, because all I could really say is that the new Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels designs were still not here, no, not yet, they are supposed to be here but they're not!!!!! But now, as of today I can shout from the rooftops THEY ARE FINALLY HERE!!!!!! Lucky, lucky pre-orderers, your dies are already on their way to your craft rooms with your bonus rhinestones and another freebie to thank you for your patience. As Spellbinders have changed their packaging, and demand for these designs was huge, delivery to US wholesalers was delayed by a MONTH! Pre-orderers are also lucky in another way, as the dollar dived 30% between me placing the order and having it charged to my poor, sore, abused VISA card, and regrettably I have had no option but to increase prices substantially on the new arrivals. It's the same story everywhere, with Australian wholesalers whacking up prices across the board as well.

Other new arrivals include lots of top-up-stock of the amazing Kokuyo tape runners, and new repositionable versions + refills (ideal for masking and Dotto users)

Also new, some very cute nifty Making Memories stylus/paper piercers - double duty tools with a reversible tip (and a cover for protecting those delicate fingers) and some other bits and pieces - some more Kaiser craft stuff to load too when I get a chance!

Another thing a long time coming - name change for this blog, since it really is all about scrapframes now!!

Get ready, get set......

Well, nearly! The Nestabilities shipment left the US on 29th October, and is usually here within a week to 10 days. Thanks everyone for your extreme patience with this pre-order - it was supposed to be a fast, easy process, but very little runs smoothly these days it would seem...
I am getting all the stocks I ordered of the Labels 1 and 2 designs, YAY! but none (I don't think, from peering at the online packing slip) of the Large Labels design - I guess they were short-shipped. I'll get your goodies on their way as soooooon as they land!

Wet and Wacky Wednesday

It's yukko out there in Sydney today, drizzly and cool. This weather is doing my head in (as well as my washing pile) Who would have thought that last week we had 15degC and this week up to 35degC, then back to, I dunno - 17 it says on my puter thermometer widget. Anyway, it's a good day to be inside doing computer catch up stuff with Pink's new album Funhouse blasting away on the CD player.

Still waiting on the Nestabilities order to come in, hasn't been sent yet. Everyone else seems to be in the same boat supplier wise, so I can only hope the delay has meant that sufficient stock has been manufactured. Unfortunately, prices will need to be increased significantly over the pre-order prices (which will most certainly be honoured) This order was initially placed when the dollar was at 0.83 USD, and it has been as low as 0.62 USD as of yesterday. I am getting practically daily letters and emails from wholesalers all telling the same sorry tale, so I reckon it's a pretty good time to go shopping while prices are at their best! So, to encourage you:

TODAY till FRIDAY midnight, I am offering FREE postage on all orders of $100 or more, within Australia. Not valid for 20% off New Customer voucher purchases, and applies to in-stock items only. Happy shopping!!

Still waiting...

I know, I know! They said October 7th. 2008 right?? Just an update on the preordered Nestabilities, they still have not been shipped to my supplier by the manufacturer, so they are at least 2 weeks away still. I don't have an updated arrival there, I'm assuming its an any-day-now scenario as I haven't been notified of a new date. Inpatiently drums fingers on the desk and looks anxiously at the seesawing dollar, let's hope we catch it on the UPswing!!

I'll keep you posted....

Nestabilities order is IN!

Very exciting! The order has been submitted to my supplier, and their date for release of the dies from Spellbinders is October 7th, that's TOMORROW there! Allowing a few days for them to arrive there and be warehoused, then packed into orders... Fingers crossed for dispatch from the US within 2 weeks! They're coming air mail, so it usually takes a week to arrive here, and then they'll be on their way to the lucky Pre-orderers! I have ordered some extras of each design, so I have left the Pre-orders up on the site, and I'll fill them in order of receipt.

Also coming is a BIG top up of the Kokuyo Dot N Roller and refills. These tape runners were one of my 'experiments' from a month or so back, and they have flown out the door! With some people wanting 3 refills at once, it's clear they are both great value and quality, at 13.3 metres and $9.95 for bodies and $7.70 for refills. Yes, that's a small price increase for those with eagle eyes, but with a nearly 30% drop in the value of the Aussie dollar since ordering them last, it's just too great an increased cost for me to absorb :( Rest assured, my prices are still WAY cheaper than anywhere else I can find here, so it's still good news!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays if you've got kids home in your state! Mine are packed off to grandparents for a week of being spoiled! Ahhhh, the bliss, ahhh the sleeping in! (NOT! - thanks SO much to the builders next door using nail guns a few minutes after 7am.... )

Enjoy your Tuesday, don't forget there is a 20% off sale on all acrylic stamp sets and rubons, till midnight THIS FRIDAY 10th October!

One more question..... I'm thinking of changing the name of this blog to Scrapframes, cos there sure isn't much possum scrapping happening around here, just too much else to do higher up the list of priorities! What do YOU think?? Love to hear your comments :)

Do you want to help me??

Most of my advertising is via online directory ranking sites, with blinkies and banner ads sprinkled about the place. People browsing for sites often visit these directories to get to an easy to access list, and to read a bit more about the various sites.
The directories I advertise with have little buttons down the bottom of my front and store pages, you've no doubt wondered what they do! The directory sites have different ranking methods, some count each time a new page with a button is displayed, others only count clicks on the button itself (which takes you to their site, clicking the back button gets you back to ScrapFrames though).

I'd really appreciate it if visitors to ScrapFrames would click on these buttons each visit, it only takes an extra minute or less, just make sure you hit that back button and come back to us LOL!
Doing this will mean ScrapFrames will make it higher up the list, where more people might see us! And that has to be a good thing right? :)

many thanks in advance!!

edited to add: It's working already! Thanks everyone! Just a note too, the images at the top of this post aren't linked to the directories, but they show you what to look for at the ScrapFrames site :) MWAH!

Congratulations Jesse!

Sorry for my tardy posting, Jesse has already received her Christmas Goody prize she won in my recent competition. Well done Jesse - a great example of how it pays to visit here often, Jesse also won the prize for first order post site dramas. Enjoy your goodies :)

What else is happening - more site instability, but it has been mainly intermittent and brief outages, so if you get the dreaded 404 not found screen, just check back in a little while to see if its up and running again.

I am also looking at a new system for sending my newsletters, using Constant Contact. My last newsletter only reached some of you, due to recent changes many ISPs have introduced limiting the number of emails to 50 per hour. It used to be 100, and thats how my list was set up. Oh well, live and learn!! I may have another go at sending the September one, apologies if you get it twice - I'll change it around and add some new bits just for you!

Just ONE MORE DAY until Pre-orders for Nestabilities dies close - tomorrow Friday 3rd October. If you want a particular set I don't have in stock, and which isn't listed in the pre-orders section, I'm happy to order it in for you at these pre-order prices, just contact me with the code and brief description by tomorrow evening .

Blog Specials

20% off all rub on transfers

20% off all acrylic stamp sets

both for this week, from now until midnight Friday 10th October, just put something in the comments box along the lines of 'blog special' or 20% stamps etc so I know you've been here ;) Applies to in stock items only. Happy shopping!

Nestabilities Pre-orders

I have had an email from my supplier, and the new Nestabilities dies have been backordered to them by the manufacturer. The shipping date they did have was October 7th, so hopefully it won't be too long after this. Preorders through ScrapFrames will CLOSE on FRIDAY OCTOBER 3rd and payments will need to have been received by this date, so allow a couple of days for bank transfer please.

Also, I am in the process (finally!) of loading some A4 cardstock I picked up at a warehouse sale. I have passed the savings on to you, with 10 A4 sheets of cardstock, heavy weight (up to 300gsm) retailing for just $3.00 - yes, that's only 30 cents per sheet. I have given colour indications based on both the closest Bazzill colour and closest Stampin Up cardstock colour to help you with your selections.

Raining and ordinary here today in Sydney, makes for an interesting and slightly damp wait for the school bus!! Luckily it was pretty much on time today! Also no 'lunch at the park' for miss 3, a Tuesday standard around here, so it might have to be a carpet picnic instead!

Catching up!

Well, all the stock that dropped off the system during the webhost hiccups is now re-loaded onto the site, plus some other bits and pieces that have been sitting about waiting for their turn!

I also wanted to let everyone know the Pre-orders for the new Nestabilities dies are up on the site now, ready for your orders. I have priced these as well as I can, especially with the current currency fluctuations, and I think you'll find our prices most competitive!! I am awaiting advice from my supplier about the expected shipping date for these, and when I know that I will advise the closing date for Pre Orders. These new label style dies (think Noteworthy Artisan and Jenni Bowlin label cardstocks) are sure to be very popular, so place your order NOW to avoid missing out! You can find the details and conditions HERE There is a bonus pack of Kaisercraft adhesive rhinestones for each set of Nestabilities you pre-order through me, to give you extra extra value!!

And.... Just in case you thought I'd forgotten, our Christmas Themed pack is still up for grabs - I need a few more qualifying orders before I conduct the draw. Nestabilities Pre-orders will count too as long as you have made payment.

Back to my box of odds and sods.... Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

Nesties and Cuttlebug!

Firstly, Congratulations Jesse for being the winner of the bonus goodies with your order :)

Yesterday we ploughed through and entered onto the site a box of new gear, including long awaited border Cuttlebug dies, several new Christmas designs folders, and my first batch of Spellbinders Nestabilities. I decided to stuff the shocking freight charges and (relatively) horrible exchange rate this time and offer them at the best possible prices, equal or lower than the best online prices I could find elsewhere. There are limited stocks of each, and some have sold already, so be quick if you want some!!! Find the new September/October 2008 category here There is also top up stock of Fiskars Threading Water punches, be quick for those too as I didn't get my full allotment in my order. Hopefully we'll make a dint in the lost products that disappeared when the site fell over during the day, so watch the category to see the Kaiser Christmas gear and more :)
I will also be starting a PREORDER for the latest Nestabilities designs, Labels 1 and 2 and Large Labels - these are not quite released in the US, but I will be placing an order as soon as they are ready for shipping. Pre-order details will appear in the Nestabilities category (tools and storage) soon...

Enjoy your Friday everyone, it's a stunningly GORGEOUS day here in Sydney town, forecast to be 30degC!!!

Site Update

OK, so... After DH fixed the site himself (save for the stray 'n's!), the webhost then re-fixed/un-fixed (depending on your point of view) it, and we were briefly back to unitelligble gobbledygook... But, the good news is that most of the data is restored, except the last batch of new stuff added. DH has since re-added the patch, and even worked out how to get rid of the 'n's - very pleased with himself!! And..... now I get to reload a big batch of stuff... oh well, there's more to add now anyway, as a HUUUUUUGE box was delivered from my US supplier this morning. I'm going to get started on that, so you should see a NEW! September/October 2008 category appear any minute now... Thanks for your patience, and as NO ONE put an order through yesterday, and the further problems with the site displaying correctly, I'll extend the goody bonus pack until 6pm tonight for the FIRST ORDER PLACED over $30

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

wooooo hoooo (maybe??)

Thanks to a patch dug up from somewhere and installed by my DH, the site seems to be behaving a little better today! That is if you can cope with the strings of excess "n"'s sprinkled about (no idea what that's about, but I think I can manage!) Still no word from the host about the missing data, but today is at least an improvement on yesterday! Products within categories are visible again.

To celebrate (quietly...) the FIRST ORDER over $30 PLACED today after I post this will receive a bonus pack of goodies from my Prize box.

Sorry, we're totally broken...

Obviously the wooden object I selected during my second to last post did NOT do the trick.... I even waited until the site had been happily stable for several weeks before being brave enough to announce we were fixed!!! It would now appear there is something very badly wrong with the database where products are stored, and the only products which are accessible are those actually pictured in the "new" and "customers who purchased..." sections. NOT. VERY. USEFUL !!!!!!! We are not the only ones suffering the same fate, and we are assured the webhost is working on it. Thanks to Ellen for the link to a possible alternative - we'll most definitely look into it! Everything loaded or updated from the 15th August onwards may need to be re-done, but the rest of the data does seem to be there - just inaccessible at the moment. I'll post here when I know more, and again my apologies to those of you who have lost carts - I really don't know enough about SQL but surely those that DO should be able to FIX IT!!! Sigh......

Hmmmm....

Well, after posting good news last time, our webhost has been tinkering again, and has managed to lose 2 weeks of data and updates to our site :( I'm hoping they can restore it, if not, we have a lot of stock to re-load :( :( And, just in case you've tried to look at the new goodies, that is why the links in the post below lead to something unintelligible. We hope they will let us know today if the data is recoverable, and I'm going to wait on the answer before I assume the worst - my poor stock loading helper is NOT going to be pleased if she gets the same list to do all over again!

On a slightly more positive note, I have been doing a bit of tinkering of my own on the back end of the site, making some updates etc. Look out over the next few days for some new gallery images and stuff like that :)

fingers crossed everyone for the RIGHT answer from the %$#%^##$ webhosting service!
