We have very much enjoyed running the ScrapFrames shop, and providing our trademark 'beyond the call' service to all customers, big and small. However, we had neither the space to expand to the size of some of the 'big name' shops, nor the budget to saturate the magazines with advertising. So it was time to call it quits.

ScrapFrames is Closing Down... :(

It is with sadness that we report that we are closing our virtual doors here at ScrapFrames, after more than 4 years scrapping along with you.

Why? There are several reasons, including the global economic downturn and sharp increases to the cost of stock due to currency crashes and supplier increases.

Also, although I have adored running my own business while my youngest child was a baby and pre-schooler, she’s off to big school as of 2010, and it’s time to re-enter my first career, seeking out new challenges and re-activating a different set of brain cells! I will look back with fondness over my time with ScrapFrames, it has certainly been a change of pace and a delightful diversion. I have very much enjoyed getting to know lots of you, my friends and customers, and helping you find just the right thing for your crafty projects. Who knew ‘work’ could be so much fun, BAS statements aside!!??

  All stock is sold on a ‘first paid first served’ basis. No backorders will be taken. No ‘holds’ please. While the stock levels are reasonably accurate, they cannot be guaranteed down to the last one or two, especially for items such as ribbon by the metre , cardstock and papers. Orders will be picked strictly in order of receipt, but will not be packed for posting until payment has been received.

  Direct Deposit payments must be received or credit card payment arranged by phone within THREE business days of order placement, or the order will be cancelled by us and items returned to stock.   Turnaround time will inevitably be longer than our usual fast service due to the higher volume of orders expected. It will be all hands on deck to process, pack and post orders out, but we do ask for a little patience.

  Postage – Flat rate postage of $8.50 will apply to all orders UP TO 2KG in WEIGHT. For orders with a packed weight over 2kg, the actual Australia Post charge will apply, and we will advise this when we send your final total. You can determine the cost of various sizes of orders by going to the Australia Post website HERE , plugging in your postcode and postcode 2126 and varying the weights. For very light and thin orders we will continue to offer our minimum rate of $5.60.

  All items will be posted via Australia Post regular mail. If you wish to use registered post, choose this option from the menu during checkout. The $11.30 rate covers insurance up to $100 value, please add an extra $1.30 for each $100 or part thereof if you wish to purchase additional insurance. We cannot be held responsible for the safe delivery of orders if you choose the regular post option.

  For our international customers, all postage will be at cost. We will contact you to advise after we receive your order.

Lots of changes and new stuff

Yeah, yeah, been a while, I know!! Life is changing by the day here, with family stuff and my 'proper job' taking more of my time. There have been quite a few changes with ScrapFrames too, with the sad deletion of the actual Frames side of the site. These were the original reason behind the business, but once the trend for framing layouts became more popular and widespread, there was simply no competing with cheap imports from China, being sold at KMart and Scrapbook stores en masse, despite the superior quality of our ScrapFrames. Such is life and the nature of the business beast!

I have received a few deliveries of new items in the last few weeks, and have been revamping our stock area, discovering items not listed on the site in the process. I've also found some extra hours in the day here and there to list stuff in the box of bits n bobs like Kaisercraft papers and more.

New today are some brand new Nestabilities dies, Labels 8 and Labels 9, as well as some of the latest Cuttlebug embossing folders, be quick for these, they are fantastic designs and not yet widely available in Australia, so stocks won't last!! Better get back to it, thanks for reading :)

What's new?? I'm waiting to pounce on a pending order with my US supplier, so everyone send STRONG AUSSIE dollar vibes - it's trending upwards again at last. It's been very disapointing to find that wholesale costs have increased so sharply, but we have tried to absorb increases for as long as possible. I have been pretty flat out with school matters and my 'proper' job the last few months, but I'm slowly getting through the box of stock to be loaded - check back at the shop from time to time, you'll find the latest additions on either the main page of the estore or the New March April 2009 categories

Site issues again, now fixed

My apologies to everyone trying to place orders over the last week or so! I regularly check the customer side of the site, but this time the error page was in a different place than we've experienced before and I didn't pick it up.

Anyway, we're back up online properly and ready to process your orders :)

Heaps of stuff has been delivered over the past few days, just need to find the time to load it onto the site.

Arrivals include New Kaisercraft papers in Lovestruck, Argentella, Sugar Sugar, Spirograph and Airy Fairy with matching brads, Cupcake albums, Star designer albums, recipe stands etc.

Also a batch of EK Success gear including the fabulous Circle Scissor! This is the only system I have been able to successfully cut nice circles with, so it deserves a place in your toolbox! It does require the use of a glass cutting mat, but we have some of those in 2 sizes also. Note!! This is the new improved Circle Scissor Plus, which cuts in both directions, don't confuse it with the earlier version which was apparently a major PITA!! There are also more punches, and a few other bits and bobs have just arrived too, my floor looks like a warehouse there are so many boxes! Best get back to it...

OK, I'm back!!

Been flat out with school hols, stocktake, clearing out site clutter and boring stuff like that! I have some new things to add, hopefully over the next few days, including a limited number of the new Making Memories Paperie collections in 6x6 pads, direct from the US as they weren't listed by distributors here.

The other big news is the addition of a new section to the site, the "Recycling Station" It's sort of like an online garage sale, or our own ScrapFrames ebay! I will be listing things as I come across them, but check regularly to see what's new. It will include stuff like samples, part packs of new stock ex kits for example, used items I no longer need in my stash (far far too big for the amount of time I have to scrap!!!), opened but new items, etc etc. I also have things like a Making Memories Trimmer and will load some stamps I don't use anymore also. Everything will be at great prices, sold as-is, described as well as I can manage. All sales from this section will be final, with no exchanges or refunds, and there are no further discounts on items from this section. Enjoy browsing!

A few changes and new arrivals AT LAST!

HI everyone,
It seems like ages since I posted last, because all I could really say is that the new Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels designs were still not here, no, not yet, they are supposed to be here but they're not!!!!! But now, as of today I can shout from the rooftops THEY ARE FINALLY HERE!!!!!! Lucky, lucky pre-orderers, your dies are already on their way to your craft rooms with your bonus rhinestones and another freebie to thank you for your patience. As Spellbinders have changed their packaging, and demand for these designs was huge, delivery to US wholesalers was delayed by a MONTH! Pre-orderers are also lucky in another way, as the dollar dived 30% between me placing the order and having it charged to my poor, sore, abused VISA card, and regrettably I have had no option but to increase prices substantially on the new arrivals. It's the same story everywhere, with Australian wholesalers whacking up prices across the board as well.

Other new arrivals include lots of top-up-stock of the amazing Kokuyo tape runners, and new repositionable versions + refills (ideal for masking and Dotto users)

Also new, some very cute nifty Making Memories stylus/paper piercers - double duty tools with a reversible tip (and a cover for protecting those delicate fingers) and some other bits and pieces - some more Kaiser craft stuff to load too when I get a chance!

Another thing a long time coming - name change for this blog, since it really is all about scrapframes now!!

Get ready, get set......

Well, nearly! The Nestabilities shipment left the US on 29th October, and is usually here within a week to 10 days. Thanks everyone for your extreme patience with this pre-order - it was supposed to be a fast, easy process, but very little runs smoothly these days it would seem...
I am getting all the stocks I ordered of the Labels 1 and 2 designs, YAY! but none (I don't think, from peering at the online packing slip) of the Large Labels design - I guess they were short-shipped. I'll get your goodies on their way as soooooon as they land!

Wet and Wacky Wednesday

It's yukko out there in Sydney today, drizzly and cool. This weather is doing my head in (as well as my washing pile) Who would have thought that last week we had 15degC and this week up to 35degC, then back to, I dunno - 17 it says on my puter thermometer widget. Anyway, it's a good day to be inside doing computer catch up stuff with Pink's new album Funhouse blasting away on the CD player.

Still waiting on the Nestabilities order to come in, hasn't been sent yet. Everyone else seems to be in the same boat supplier wise, so I can only hope the delay has meant that sufficient stock has been manufactured. Unfortunately, prices will need to be increased significantly over the pre-order prices (which will most certainly be honoured) This order was initially placed when the dollar was at 0.83 USD, and it has been as low as 0.62 USD as of yesterday. I am getting practically daily letters and emails from wholesalers all telling the same sorry tale, so I reckon it's a pretty good time to go shopping while prices are at their best! So, to encourage you:
